Welcome to “Aussie God Seeker”.  This site is dedicated to helping Aussies to discover more about God, and what he is saying to us as individuals and as a nation. Various people have prophesied a great revival in Australia. More than 400 years ago, Pedro Fernández de Quirós, (1563 – 1615), a Portuguese navigator claimed to have found the fabled great southern continent, Terra  Australis, which he named “The Great South Land of the Holy Spirit.” In more recent times, it has been said that various great men of God including Smith Wigglesworth, and in the year 2,000, Cindy Jacobs, have declared that the last great revival of all times would occur in this nation of Australia.

Revival means a restoring to life- in this case spiritual life- and this typically first touches Christians within the established churches, then spreads to people who have never before had any experience of God.

The Bible says:

Heb 11:6 – “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek  Him.”

This verse tells us that we must first believe that God exists. Then we must also believe that he responds to those who are looking for him. He is not just out there, where we cannot really know if he is there or not.

It also says:

Deut 4:29 – “But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek  Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

The word “seek” means to looks for, to search for, someone or something which may be hidden or hard to find. This tells us we must put in some effort and commitment to our search – we must actively search for God.

Hopefully this site will help you in your search, whether you are totally new to the search, or whether you have been a Christian for a long time, but want more of God – a revived spiritual life.

    Hi Jenny
I’m glad you liked it. I will be putting up more posts soon. The gap has been because I have been writing a book, which will be published very soon. There will be details about this in the near future.

Great. May I ask what the book is about?

The book is called Journey toward Wholeness- piecing together spirit, soul and body. It examines the concept of wholeness in spirit, soul and body, and how to grow into wholeness. It is a simple, but profound account of the healing of our traumas and painful life experiences so we can come to maturity and transformation. It also addresses the way that those who are called to this kind of ministry can set up a centre for inner healing and wholeness. More details will be posted when the book is available.
